ORGONE ACCUMULATORS good advice & wilhelm reich and roll double EP CDr

September 24, 2009 by infernalracket

ORGONE ACCUMULATORS – GOOD ADVICE & WILHELM REICH AND ROLL double EP CDr
Sultans of Swing Records no.15
£3ppd

Orgone Accumulators finally reach the physical realm. Sultans Of Swing Records have put both Orgone Accumulators ‘virtual’ EPs onto a nicely packaged CDr. 3 different kinds of handmade card/paper including one made out of recycled beer bottle labels and a printed CD showing the relationship between Sirius and the Dogon tribe and extraterrestrial communications.

It’s 8 tracks of surf/techno themed around ancient astronauts although one of them is a cover of The Ventures version of Walk Don’t Run. Think Man Or Astroman, Shadowy Men On A Shadowy Planet or The Residents playing around an 808. For fans of outer space and the future and sci fi gubbins.

It’s available for free download or streaming at http://www.orgoneaccumulators.co.uk or you can send £3 via paypal to sultansofswingrecords AT fastmail DOT fm to get this CDr version.

The Good Advice EP can be downloaded via http://www.mediafire.com/?zroynlzozv5
The Wilhelm Reich And Roll EP can be downloaded via http://www.mediafire.com/?y1zdoitbn1z

ORGONE ACCUMULATORS get mentioned on the internet

September 24, 2009 by infernalracket

The internet is currently on fire with talk about Orgone Accumulators. The flames are completely invisible and will not burn you but it’s still fire god dammit.

The rather fantastic Rock Is Dead blog put up a post about it here. I’d recommend you head over to Rock Is Dead to get a load of obscure garage and surf stuff. Also, I recommend you go to his posts of Songs Man or Astroman Taught Us and the second volume as well. Does exactly what it says on the tin. Originals of songs Man Or Astroman covered.

Also, Universe City blog put the new Orgone Accumulators EP up. They also have some Man Or Astroman goodies – here and here.

Artrocker also have a review of the EP up here. It’s quite funny.

The EP itself is just over ten minutes long, and has literally zero words. The tracks themselves sound like some sort of spooky cartoon-goth techno. The sort that you might find in the opening or closing credits to an off-the-wall post-modern Addams Family remake from the States.

‘Never Whistle While You’re Pissing’ has a chilly jungle sound – the type that you would find accompanying Crash Bandicoot in a ‘serious’ dark level on the Playstation of old.
“[some say it sounded] like an ambient Cramps whilst others thought it sounded like a cross between surf and techno. One researcher said he thought it was complete bollocks and sounded like the work of some amateur bumbling away in his bedroom. “

To be honest, I’m torn between the latter view as well. Is this some sort of obscurity that you only find in foreign cities where everyone is off their keg on some continental pop drug, as you down your twenty-somethingth Ouzo?

Probably.

ORGONE ACCUMULATORS – GOOD ADVICE ep

September 1, 2009 by infernalracket

It’s been a couple of months since the Orgone Accumulators – Wilhelm Reich And Roll EP was presented to the general public and since then the Fifth Neuro Orgone Research Department has been a hive of activity. The research into the alien communications from Sirius has been incredibly successful and we can now announce the publication of the past few months results:-

ORGONE ACCUMULATORS – GOOD ADVICE EP

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a88/infinitemonkey/Orgone-Accumulators---Good-.jpg

Four more tracks of sci fi surf techno including a version of Walk Don’t Run by The Ventures. As we already know, many of these communications were beamed from the past and The Ventures certainly must have had some knowledge of how to intercept and translate them. We still haven’t worked out how Chet Atkins came to be the first person to translate that particular alien communication as there does not seem to be any hint of ESP or suchlike in the rest of his catalogue. If anyone does have any theories please get in touch with us. Walk Don’t Run is, of course, a fine piece of advice and it turns out that the other recently translated Sirius communications are also instructions on how to lead a better life – Don’t Panic, Keep Calm And Carry On and Never Whistle While You’re Pissing. All fantastic pieces of good advice.

The EP can be downloaded from – http://www.mediafire.com/?zroynlzozv5

Alternatively it can be streamed here – http://www.myspace.com/orgoneaccumulators

GRUEL in Vice

September 1, 2009 by infernalracket

GRUEL got a review in Vice. If nothing else wants to make you buy the album hopefully the praise of a coked up london hipster will.

Another platter of putrid disgustingness from the good folks at Feast of Tentacles who really should get some kind of lifetime achievement award for overlooked consistent quality of output or something. This is a double album of psyche-infused doom from Leeds that would make a good soundtrack to cowering naked in the corner of a cold, dark room and sobbing yourself to sleep.
